The 2002 nKerth Awards [wandaD SOUND] Good evening, FoLCs, and welcome to the 4th NKerth Awards Ceremony, recognizing those authors who submitted stories during the year 2001. Thanks to everyone who participated in the nominations and voting phases - without you we wouldn't have a ceremony! Many categories were really close this year, with only 1 vote separating many of the nominees! [wandaD SOUND] That just reinforces that even after all these years of no new television episodes, we can still generate some great fic ideas and keep our community entertained! Well done to all the writers, and thanks to all the readers for letting us know your picks! The nKerth Crew would like to recognize and thank those folcs who provide us a place to get our nfic fix Anne, Debby & Joyce, Demi, and Zoom. Thank you!! [wandaD SOUND] And to the Counting Firm of Peterson, Andrews, and Thomas for again this year providing the official tallies for the votes. Tonight's ceremony is brought to you by the NFic Directory the official guide to LnC nFic! Now on with the show! To start us off tonight, here is Merry to present our first category. [wandaD SOUND] Hello everyone. It's an honor to be here tonight. You are all winners to me. Thank you for the hours of reading enjoyment you have given me. It's only fitting that I should present the award for the Best Vignette, because I seem to have the reputation for giving the shortest feedback. Nominees for the Best Vignette are: After the Storm by YC Blind by Shayne Terry [wandaD SOUND] Jeep Tales: Love in the Back End by Artemis A Picture is Worth by Jill And A Revelation...Or Is It? By Sarah Luddy And the runner up is Jeep Tales:Love in the Back End by Artemis [wandaD SOUND] And the winner is After the Storm by YC [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations Yvonne and Artemis Congratulations, Artemis and Yvonne! Is Yvonne here tonight? We will keep her plaque for her, which can be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/smoochie64.jpg Wendy has graciuosly agreed to accept for Yvonne. Thank you, Wendy. Hi all :) Yvonne can't be here tonight, because she's singing at the Last NIght of the Proms on TV but I know that she'll be utterly delighted and grateful to receive this award [wandaD SOUND] I adored this vignette of hers, and it gives me enormous pleasure to look after it temporarioly * Wendymr runs away holding the award tightly Thank you, Merry and Wendy. And now here's Jill to present the award for Best Dramatic Fic. [wandaD SOUND] hi everyone It's a real treat for me to present this award tonight, and bear with me because I tend to be long winded ;) One thing that the world of Lois and Clark can almost always guarantee us is drama. Between Clark's secret and the endless parade of villains that are always after our favorite couple, we're never lacking for good drama. And being in the nfic world, we get the best of all worlds in our dramas, both A-plot and B-plot (because what's nfic without a good, steamy B-plot). Dramatic stories revolve around conflicts and strong emotions, and the truly exceptional dramatic stories that we've seen this year draw the reader in to the conflict and make us feel the emotions that the main characters are experiencing as well... And whether those emotions involve us sitting at our computers sobbing our eyes out, keeping us on the edge of our seats, or making us so mad that we throw things at the computer and have to replace 3 monitors in one year; we know that we're in for a good, healthy dose of ANGST when we open those files. This year's nominees for Best Dramatic nFic are: [wandaD SOUND] Dirty Pool by Linda Lowe Fear of Discovery IV by YC For the Greater Good by Wendy Richards Purity by YC And Super Stud by ML Thompson And the runner up is: Purity by YC [wandaD SOUND] Now...the winner for Best Dramatic nFic for 2001: For the Greater Good by Wendy Richards [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, Yvonne and Wendy! Congratulations Wendy! Come on up, Wendy! [wandaD SOUND] Am I voiced? sorry, didn't think I was! Anyway... I honestly never expected this. I was expecting to sit back and applaud everyone else, so I'm kind of stunned here but since this is a really special story to me, I'm honoured and overwhelmed to win this award thank you so much, everyone :)))) [wandaD SOUND] Wendy's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/lip_lock33.jpg Thank you, Jill. And the next presenter for Best Humorous is The Lurker. Since she's too shy to come out from behind the curtain, she gave me this to read: [wandaD SOUND] [wandaD SOUND] [wandaD SOUND] Humor comes in many forms and appeals to different people in various ways. A few of the types of humor available for authors include: Situational - when the circumstances the author "situates" their characters drive the humor, Irony - when something occurs other than what is expected, Pun - usually a short joke which is just a play on words, and Satire - a literary work holding up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn (Merriam-Webster). The humor provided in this nominated stories illustrate some of the different types of humor available. The nominated stories are: Control by Sherry, where Lois decides that Clark needs to lose control to help him get over a bad rescue. It's just too bad that Clark wasn't at home when she decided to help him. Poor Clark! It's a Bet by ML Thompson, where Lois and Clark try their darndest to not do what all nfic readers want them to do! Measuring Up by Kylie. What can I say? Who among you wouldn't want to help Clark with that measurement? I know I would! Professional, but Naughty by Doc Klein's LabRat, one of the Jeep tale, which puts Lois and Clark in a location that doesn't really lend itself to lovemaking, but we know how our favorite pair will do anything when the mood strikes, despite any interruptions from man or animal! and A Revelation... Or Is It? by Sarah Luddy, a story where maybe, just maybe, Lois deserves what Tempus says about her! All great stories, you guys! And the runner up is . . . [wandaD SOUND] It's a Bet by ML Thompson [wandaD SOUND] And the winner is . . . Professional, But Naughty by Doc. Klein's LabRat [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, ML and Labbie! Rat left in a rush earlier because of an impending thunderstorm, and unfortunately she's not back yet but I'm totally thrilled that she won this award, and I know she'll be totally ecstatic! Thanks, Kaethel, for accepting on Labbie's behalf :) LabRat's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/french_kiss51.jpg Thank you, Lurker. And now for a word from our sponsor Lost your muse and can't find it? Need something to get your mind off your troubles and on to your favorite characters? Try reading some new nfic to see if that can get your juices flowing! Visit http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/nfic.html for links to the best nfic in town! [wandaD SOUND] Start your Christmas shopping early this year! Visit http://www.chantico.com/alastor/ckties/index.shtml for the best selection of unique ties! Surprise your man with a tie from the shop where one of the hottest reporters in Metropolis shops! [wandaD SOUND] And now, back to the show Here to present the award for Most Sensual is Kaethel. [wandaD SOUND] Of all the elements of nfic, producing narrative that is sensual - which makes the reader turn up that fan to full - is perhaps most important of all. Whether the sensuality crackles off the page of a short vignette or a full blown epic (didn't we say that size doesn't matter? ), this exercise is probably the most difficult achievement for nfic authors; one for which many of us admire them. [wandaD SOUND] Getting the emotions of a powerful lovemaking scene across, making the characters share their most secret feelings with the readers while keeping the scene intimate and romantic is, imho, one of the hardest things to do when writing. And yet our authors succeed in this difficult task, making the world around us disappear as we read, as if we were just a tiny fly on the wall and not a waffs-hungry mob... * Kaethel throws a bucket of cold water over said mob. The nominees for Best Sensual nfic are: Baby, Baby by Kathy Brown Final Fling by Cat Grant First Times by Cat Grant Near Miss: Battleground Earth by Crystal Wimmer Revenge or Seven Year Itch by ML Thompson so let's see the envelope... [wandaD SOUND] The cold shower...erm...runner up award, that is, goes to: Revenge or Seven Year Itch by ML Thompson [wandaD SOUND] congrats ML!! :)) And the swim in the Antarctic (yes, Clark's company is optional) is awarded to: Baby, Baby by Kathy Brown!! Congratulations, Kathy! :)) [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, ML and Kathy! Well, I wasn't expecting this ... excuse me while I wipe the pizza off my hands so I can type [wandaD SOUND] Thank you, everyone ... this is quite an honor. (And an honor to have Helene present with one of her great speeches, too!) This was a fun story to write, especially since it was done live on IRC so I dedicate this award to everyone who has every made up "the peanut gallery" on IRC ... thanks for the encouragement! [wandaD SOUND] thanks :) Kathy's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/kissie_poo92.jpg Thank you, Kaethel. And now here's Merry again to present the award for Best Waffy. Thank you Dawn [wandaD SOUND] Hello again. WARM AND FUZZY FEELINGS Isn't this how we all feel about Lois and Clark? I love this category. The Nominees for the Best Waffy Story are: After the Storm by YC Amorous Lois by Allicat Baby, Baby by Kathy Brown Happy New Tears by Wendy Richards Baby, Baby by Kathy Brown Happy New Tears by Wendy Richards Professional, but Naughty by Doc Klein's LabRat And the Runner up is [wandaD SOUND] After the Storm by YC [wandaD SOUND] The Winner is Happy New Tears by Wendy Richards Congratulations, Yvonne and Wendy! [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations Wendy and Yvonne sorry about that! My connection dropped just as Merry was about to announce the wionnder winner and I'm lost for words, because not only was this the quickest reconnection on record, but I did NOT expect this! Glad you made it back, Wendy :) Oops and there she goes again. Again, thank you all very, very much., This was a difficult premise to write and to gete *right*, and I'm delighted that so many of you enjoyed it enough to vote for it thank you all again :) [wandaD SOUND] Wendy's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/slurpy_kiss14.jpg Thank you, Merry. And now for the Best SuperFutures category, here is Avia. SuperFutures is an intriguing category. The authors can explore the future relationship between Lois and Clark and can go even further to explore the relationships of their descendants. This yearıs nominees have explored both ends of the spectrum in a unique way and with a great deal of talent. [wandaD SOUND] This yearıs nominees for Nkerth Award for Best SuperFutures are: For the Greater Good by Wendy Richards A Little Help by Crystal Wimmer Purity by YC Revenge or Seven Year Itch by ML Thompson Secrets by Judith Williams and the runner up is... [wandaD SOUND] For the Greater Good by Wendy Richards [wandaD SOUND] The winner is... Purity by YC [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, Wendy and Yvonne! conrats Yvonne and Wendy! Hey, at least this time I can be calm about this I'm absolutely delighted to accept this award for Yvonne. I know that she'll be thrilled and again, honoured to win this award for Purity Purity is a story that many people found difficult to read because of its subject-matter but it's definitely *well* worth the read. On behalf of Yvonne, thank you all very much indeed! [wandaD SOUND] LOL. Thanks, Wendy. Yvonne's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/buss88.jpg Thank you, Avia, our bouncer-extraordinaire ;) And now, it's time for another commercial break. Wayne Irig's Bed and Breakfast -- stay in the authentic farmhouse that was investigated by Jason Trask from Bureau 39. Watch the night sky for UFOs in this perfect viewing location. [wandaD SOUND] Phone or email early for reservations during the Smallville Corn Festival. [wandaD SOUND] Searching for a story? Then look no further than Anne's Nfic Archive! With 44 authors and 325 stories, you're sure to find what you're looking for. Anne's Nfic Archive, at www.annesplace.net Now, on with the show. And, now I have another presentation by The Lurker, who is still hiding behind the curtain. [wandaD SOUND] The Original Idea category has always contained an unusual variety of stories. The original idea can come from many different sources within the story: the plot, the characters, the surroundings, the writing style, etc, This year's nominees reflect those differences: Code of Honor by Dawn F, a strong A-Plot driven, crossover story with the attorneys from JAG, :) Mayson's Diary by Terran, an unusually written story revealing excerpts of Mayson's words, with reactions by Clark and Dan as they read them, Professional, But Naughy by Doc. Klein's LabRat, one of LabRat's beautifully written stories that contains unexpected events throughout, Purity by YC, a story that reveals some of the worst evil that can be done to our favorite pair, and Tease by Echo, an elsewhere story that doesn't even deal with our Lois and Clark, but rather imaginary actors who play them. The Runner-Up for Best Original Story is... [wandaD SOUND] Tease by Echo [wandaD SOUND] [wandaD SOUND] And the Winner for Best Original Story is... Purity by YC [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, Echo and Yvonne! Wendy is getting some exercise tonight ;) you guys are going to get sick of hearing from me! But again, I'm delighted to receive this award for Yvonne [wandaD SOUND] The theme in Purity is definitely a highly original idea: that a group of people wold want to 'deal with' Superman, not by killin him but by ensuring that he cannot reproduce It was a chilling, but very believable premise Thanks to everyone who nominated and voted for the story :) [wandaD SOUND] Thanks again, Wendy :) Yvonne's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/smack24.jpg Thank you, Lurker. And thanks to everyone who nominated Code :) Now, Katie will present the award for Best Elseworld/AltUniverse. [wandaD SOUND] Elseworld/Alt Universe is an amazing category, filling with a myriad of different types of fic. It lets authors soar on the wings of their imagination, allowing them to go pretty much anywhere. The stories in this category go behind the world which we see on TV, giving us a chance to find out what could happen to different variations of Lois and Clark in different worlds. Imagination is very much the key to writing Elseworld/Alt Universe fanfic, as every detail of the alternate lives of Lois and Clark has to be thought out carefully, whether an existing alternate universe is used or a completely new one is created. Fear of Discovery IV, by YC, is the fourth installment of this gripping series. In this section, alt-Clark and alt-Lois how to work together, creating the loving partnership we all know so well. When problems arise, the Lois and Clark we know join forces with alt-Lois and alt-Clark, using their combined skills to sort the problems out. In Fugue, by Shayne Terry, Clark loses him memory and doesn't immediately regain it. In his state of confusion, he joins a motorcycle group and becomes a drifter, but he still remembers Lois, even though his own mind is fighting against him. Meanwhile, Lois is hiding from a huge government conspiracy in the midwest, until eventually they meet. Fugue II: Fusion is Shayne Terry's sequel to 'Fugue'. Together, Lois and Clark fight off the vast government conspiracy. Clark eventually regains his memory up to the point where he lost it, forgetting everything that has happened to him since. A great sequel to Fugue. Tease, by Echo, is a George and Lynn story. These Elseworld fics concentrate on what *could* have happened between Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain after filming. George and Lynn stories are imaginative, twisting the relationship between Lois and Clark and bringing it out into the real world. TV or Not TV, by Laura, is a fic which mainly centers around alt-Clark 3. When he discovers cable TV for the first time, he is shocked at some of the pornographic things shown, giving Lois the chance to reassure him. A great look into the life of alt-Lois and alt-Clark 3. So once again, the nominees are: Fear of Discovery IV by YC Fugue by Shayne Terry Fugue II: Fusion by Shayne Terry Tease by Echo TV or Not TV by Laura The runner up is: [wandaD SOUND] Fugue by Shayne Terry Well done Shayne!! [wandaD SOUND] And the winner is... Fear of Discovery IV by YC Congratulations!!! [wandaD SOUND] * Wendyr wonders whether it's safe to come back up here! Well, Fear of Discovery IV is the fourth instalment in YC's long-running series - and she has promised a Part 5 and I know we've all enjoyed the continuing adventures of Lois and Clark and Clark and Lois I'm sure that this award will encourage her to get on and write FoDV as soon as possible! [wandaD SOUND] Thank you all again on Yvonne's behalf - I know she'll be delighted Congratulations, Shane and Yvonne! And thanks again, Wendy. Yvonne's plaque for this category can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/osculation49.jpg Thank you, Katie. Returning, and giving us another chance to see her in her stunning evening gown, here is Jill to present the Best First Time Rewrite. Hi again everyone! I really only volunteered to present a second award because I like showing off my new evening gown. As Dawn said. [wandaD SOUND] lol * DrMcCoY97 turns around to model her dress for everyone. Y'know, one of the best things about writing and reading fanfic...we get to change history with each story. There are limitless ways that we can write and rewrite the dynamics of the relationship of our favorite couple. And one of the most important moments in any relationship is the first time they make love. We all know when and where it happened in the continuity of the show, but there are so many more possibilities beyond what they were allowed to show on an 8:00 pm family show. And in nfic the writers get to explore all of those fun and exciting options to their heart's content. Whether it involves Clark 'tucking' Lois into bed, some New Years Eve reassurances that lead to more, the culmination of the New Krypton arc, Clark under the influence of the pheromone compound with Lois knowing exactly what she's doing, or what 'really' happened during that first night together in Clark's bed . . . And the nominees for Best First Time Rewrite are: Baby, Baby by Kathy Brown Happy New Tears by Wendy Richards Near Miss: Battleground Earth by Crystal Wimmer Super Stud by ML Thompson And Rapture on the Ceiling by Artemis And the runner up is... [wandaD SOUND] Happy New Tears by Wendy Richards [wandaD SOUND] The winner for Best First Time Rewrite... Super Stud by ML Thompson Congratulations, Wendy and ML! [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations Wendy and ML!!! It doesn't appear that ML was able to join us tonight but the plaque for this award can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/peck73.jpg Thank you, Jill. We'll be right back after this commercial break. [wandaD SOUND] [wandaD SOUND] [wandaD SOUND] Carol has graciously agreed to accept for ML. Thank you, Carol. Now? The mic is yours :) It's my pleasure to accept this award for ML -- I know how much care she puts into her stories and how pleased she'll be For ML, thanks to those who voted for this story [wandaD SOUND] [wandaD SOUND] Thanks again, Carol. And now for a commercial. :) Need some inspiration or maybe a beta reader? For good helpings of both, visit the nfic folder at either www.zoomway.net/boards or http://www.destinyy.com/boards/ [wandaD SOUND] You won't regret it! [wandaD SOUND] [wandaD SOUND] Is the person who "relieves your tension" out of town? Are you lonely, but want to be able to sleep tonight? Do you want to not get any more hot and bothered than you already are? Try some action stories from the FanFic Archive at http://www.lcfanfic.com/ But stay away from the romantic ones! [wandaD SOUND] At least until your Loved One is back in town! Welcome back. Here to present the award for Best Episode Tie-In, is multi-Kerth and nKerth award winner Wendy. [wandaD SOUND] You guys are going to be SO sick of hearing from me tonight but here goes: This category refers to stories which are linked in some way to episodes - though, given that these are the nfic awards, I find myself wondering about the relevance of 'tie-in' here. Mind you, if it came to tying Clark up... ;) Anyway, bondage aside, episode tie-ins are fun because they give us a chance to speculate on how some of our favourite moments could have turned out had things gone just slightly differently. And this year we have a very imaginative array of entrants. In Baby, Baby, Kathy answers the question: what might have happened if Lois and Clark had followed through on their resolve not to wait after all? And she does so with a WAFFy and very romantic vignette - even if I do hate hearing L&C call each other 'baby'! In Lady Loisette and Sir Charles, Dawn takes us back to Soulmates and weaves some new and fascinating adventures for our heroes' previous incarnations. This time they get to stay together! In Near Miss: Battleground Earth, Crystal continues the Near Miss theme in which events go somewhat differently and Lois and Clark end up... uh, *consummating* prematurely. Needless to say, HG Wells puts in an appearance, probably much to the chagrin of some of the readers! Rapture on the Ceiling gives us a longer look at that 'morning after' scene in Brutal Youth when... you guessed it, Lois and Clark were so exhausted from their *eventual* consummation that they were flat out... on the ceiling. Didn't we all want to see a little more than what we got shown in the ep? Well, we got it. And in A Revelation... or is it? Sarah revisits the honeymoon suite of the Lexor Hotel in a humorous not-quite-revelation fic, in which Clark does everything including show Lois that he's wearing Superman's suit... and she's still galactically stupid. What'cha need, Lois? An announcement on the stadium scoreboard? And the nominees for Best Episode Tie-In are: Baby, Baby by Kathy Brown Lady Loisette and Sir Charles: The New Adventures of Soulmates by Dawn F Near Miss: Battleground Earth by Crystal Wimmer Rapture on the Ceiling by Artemis A Revelation... Or Is It? by Sarah Luddy And the runner-up is... [wandaD SOUND] (cue drum-roll...) Lady Loisette and Sir Charles: The New Adventures of Soulmates by Dawn F [wandaD SOUND] :) Thanks, everyone! and teh winner is: (cue another drum roll as Wendy fumbles with the envelope...) [wandaD SOUND] Baby, Baby by Kathy Brown [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, Kathy! And thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for my story! This was one of my favorites :) [wandaD SOUND] Wow, thank you everyone I'm so pleased to know that people enjoyed the story so much. I know Wendy hates hearing Clark call Lois "baby" but this one just had to be written ;) But whether you agree that he'd say it or not, I hope everyone had as much fun reading it as I did writing it. :) Thanks again! [wandaD SOUND] WTG, Kathy :) Kathy's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/lip66.jpg Thank you, Wendy. And again here to present our next category, Best Revelation, is Avia. and now when it really ismy turn The stories about revelation especially in the NFic genre are always... interesting, to say the least . So without further ado here are this yearsı nominees for Nkerth Award for Best Revelation: [wandaD SOUND] Dirty Pool by Linda Lowe Fourth Flight by Cat Grant Happy New Tears by Wendy Richards Super Stud by ML Thompson and Truth or Dare by Cat Grant And the runner up is... [wandaD SOUND] Happy New Tears by Wendy Richards [wandaD SOUND] This year's winner is... Super Stud by ML Thompson [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, Wendy and ML! Congrats ML and Wendy As ML isn't here tonight And Carol is afk we will continue. ML's plaque for this award can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/snog35.jpg Thank you, Avia. Presenting the award for Best New Author is tonight's co-executive producer, AnneD. [wandaD SOUND] Anne couldn't be here, but asked me to post this for her: It is such a thrill to see a fic begin with 'this is my first time so please be easy on me'. It is amazing that a show that has been off the air for five years can still inspire new talent to put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard. And this year's new authors carry on the tradition of great fic writers before them. The nominees for this year's Best New Author are amac Artemis Jill Misskay Sarah Luddy Terran [wandaD SOUND] Keep writing! We look forward to seeing each of you in the other categories next year! The Runner up for this year's Best New Author is Sarah Luddy [wandaD SOUND] And the Winner for this year's Best New Author is Artemis [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, Sarah and Artemis! shall I accept on her behalf? Thank you, Wanda :) Well I wish I had a speech prepared for her. Artemis has been beta reading for me for several months now and I think she is a lovely lady her ideas are fresh and just a pleasure to read I've learned a lot from her and I think she really deserves this award I know she'd be very pleased. Thank you to all who voted for her [wandaD SOUND] commercial? [wandaD SOUND] LOL. Thanks, Wanda :) Artemis's plaque can temporarily be seen at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Meteor/7378/suck_face58.jpg Thank you, Anne. Before we present tonight's big category, we'd like to introduce a song interlude. WandaD, our sound engineer, has picked a special number to serenade us with, and a big thanks to Carolyn for allowing us to use her song from LAFF. To be sung to the tune of Greensleeves: My love, Sir Charles, you do me wrong to desert me so discourteously To Baron Tempoes I will be wed, none can stop it not even Wells, H.G. Green tights was all my joy Green tights was my delight Return to me from your exile So we can make love in the meadow...... LOL - I didn't know this was a Soulmates number ;) snork And now, here's Wanda's special pick :) I played it dear Now, for our final category, here again is Katie to present the Best Overall fic. [wandaD SOUND] Sorry, I couldn't hear all the sounds :( And finally we come to the most important category of the evening: Overall. This one picks out the elite selections of fics, showing up the most truly amazing fics out of all of them. Each of these stories have had a tremendous amount of effort put into them. I feel honored to be presenting this category, as it is my personal favourite. All of these stories deserve the overall award, but only one can win. Voting was very difficult this year, and I'm sure that everyone is on the edge of their seat wondering who will win this tough category! Good luck to all those who are up for this award! [wandaD SOUND] The nominees for the overall best fic are: Fear of Discovery IV by YC. A wonderful Alt Universe fic, exploring the adventures of alt-Lois and alt-Clark. The fourth installment of this amazing series. For the Greater Good by Wendy Richards. This one has to be the ultimate tearjerker! Clark has to destroy an asteroid... but what if there's no chance of his return? I recently reread FTGG and still found tears streaming down my eyes. Truly amazing; read it with a box of tissues in hand! Fugue/Fugue II:Fusion by Shayne Terry. Clark loses his memory after the Nightfall asteroid... what will happen if he doesn't regain it immediately? This brilliant fic gives us the chance to find out! Purity by YC. In this chilling story, Clark's manhood is put under threat to save the purity of the race. Can he be saved in time? A must-read story! Super Stud by ML Thompson. What happens if Superman is set up to look like a stud? Is there any way to save his reputation? This enthralling story gives us the answer to that question! the runner up is... [wandaD SOUND] For the Greater Good by Wendy Richards [wandaD SOUND] Well done Wendy!!! And we for the winner... We have a tie!!! The winners of the Overall fic nKerth 2002 are Purity by YC & Super Stud by ML Thompson [wandaD SOUND] Congratulations, Wendy, Yvonne, and ML!! Well done, Yvonne and ML!!!
